Heavy all-wool rugs, made in Asia Minor, the medium long pile is tied in Ghiordes knot. The old examples have a hexagonal field and rich colours, the modern make has a greater variety of colours, the sides and ends are finished with a selvedge, and the wool is coarse and parti-coloured.
